It will be the Kriti team's 25th birthday this June! The Kriti Film Club has been screening documentaries and organising issue-based film festivals for diverse audiences without any funding for 24 of these years and running. In early years, we would keep a 'gullaq' (piggy bank) available for audience to make a contribution when they came for a screening. 

During the 2020 lockdown, the Kriti Film Club offered online documentary recommendations for 102 days, with everyday access to documentaries for change. That online journey continues with monthly curations on Doculive, our virtual theatre space. It also hosts online editions of film festivals curated by the Kriti Film Club and collabortive film festivals with/ for other partners. 

The diverse range of thoughtprovoking cinema has been made available on this platform for free and independently by us, because of our belief in the power of #impactcinema The only time when we have had some support is when a filmmaker or organisation decided to contribute for our efforts, and we are always looking for such collaborations either as curators or organisers of film screening/ festival events either offline or online.

As we take small, but ambitious steps and aspire to bring meaningful films and film festivals online, we need the support of our viewers, filmmakers and film producers.
