This retrospective streamed from 15th Sept. to 6th Oct. 2025.  Manjira's siblings have decided to let the films remain online here forever, as a gesture of love and dedication to their sister 'Tripti's body of work.

THE SACRIFICE OF BABULAL BHUIYA (63 min., Hindi with English subtitles, 1988)

The Mailagora coalfields: a community of workers recycle coal slurry. Their comrade, a casual worker named Babulal Bhuiya was killed by Industrial Security Guards (CISF) in 1981. Protests followed and denunciations of harassment from guards, police and landowners. The workers share their living conditions and remember their comrade's "sacrifice."

The much mythologised Green Revolution led India and other developing nations away from famine and hunger. But 25 years later, who benefits from the biotech package? Peasant? Big farmer? Multinational corporation? And what damage has been done to the social ecologies of the Global South? A darker side to the ‘miracle’.

BKS IYENGAR - SCULPTING HUMANKIND (30 min., English, 1999)

The film traces the evolution of The BKS Iyengar System of Yoga. Iyengar arrives at the basic tenet of alignment, where the 'vertical ascendancy and horizontal expansion of intelligence meet exactly at the seat of the heart." In this is embedded the principles of therapy with which he healed several patients.
