(09:50 mins | Nimadi with English subtitles | 2025 | Documentary | India)
Dir. Laxminarayan Devda | Prod. Pinky Brahma Choudhury, Shobhit Jain
The construction of Omkareshwar Dam on the Narmada River led to the submergence of several villages and large areas of forest. The forest used to be the source of innumerable herbs and nutritious wild edible vegetables. The film is about Takal Singh and his family going in search of their favourite wild edible green ‘chhiri’, once plenty in the forest but its occurrence is rare after the submergence.
